Anthropologie: Summer Wishlist

Over the past few months, I've taken a huge break from adding to my wardrobe. In fact, I can't remember the last item I purchased, but it was probably around the holidays. To put it simply, I just had too many items of clothing that I had worn once and never again. I wasn't in love with my clothes anymore, but I wanted to be. So I took a break in order to simplify my wardrobe and find my style niche. With the transition to warmer weather though, I feel like the time for a small update is here. I have the itch to refresh my closet and add some quality pieces that will take me through the summer months in an easy and breezy way.

As soon as I saw the season's new arrivals at Anthropologie, I fell hard. Their pieces keep with the minimalistic, classic style that I love, while adding some color and flair. I think their products are very versatile, and that means that they have a little something for everyone.

These are just a few of the items on my wishlist. Some are in my shopping cart, now I just have to commit and click purchase. That, my friends, is the toughest part.

Blue Stripe Tank. The cotton material and the open slit down the back make this piece perfect for humid summer days.

Drawstring Jumpsuit. A jumpsuit is one of those pieces that I love but have never had the courage to actually purchase and wear myself. I'm hoping this one changes that.

Chambray Dress. I've been meaning to add more chambray to my closet, and I think a dress is the perfect way. Dresses are my favorite thing to wear in the summer; something about them that is so carefree, child-like, cool and easy.

Black Stripe Romper. It looks like shorts and a tee, but nope. The black color makes it the perfect daytime or nighttime piece, too.

Swing Dress. It's a dress. Enough said.

Cardigan. Summer nights in New England come with a slight chill in the air. To most, it's the perfect refresher. To me, after a long day in the warm sun, it leaves me a bit cold. So I need a couple cardigans like this one to get me through.

Eyelet Skirt. Skirts, like dresses, are the perfect summer comfort piece. I love this one for it's crisp white and eye-catching details.

Stripeknit Linen Dress. I can just picture heading out to the farmer's market, with these sneakers and this tote in hand, in this laidback dress. The linen material, too. It all just screams summer.
