California Part I
If you're a regular follower here or on Instagram, it's no secret how much our California trip meant to me. I'll try to refrain from going overboard in these blog recaps from our trip out there, but no promises!
For those of you who don't know, we spent a few weeks last fall out in California, and it was the best. You can see here, here and here, oh, and here, (see, told you I'm obsessed) for proof. But let's get this party started, shall we? Alright, California Part I.
Hobson and I flew out from New York with my mom and dad. After a rushed morning of sleeping through alarms, we actually made it to our gate with plenty of time to spare. Six hours later, we walked outside of the Los Angeles airport to 75° and sunshine. It was a welcome change from the dreary New England weather we left behind.

For the first half of our trip, we stayed in Los Angeles with family. It was a thrilling week of reunions and festivities and adventures leading up to the wedding of my beautiful cousin (and now mama-to-be!). We spent our days adventuring around LA and our nights outside around the fire pit, finishing many bottles of wine, laughing together, and being the completely and utterly silly family that we are.
My dad is one of four kids. Scattered across the country in Connecticut, Michigan, California and Hawaii, it had been nearly ten years since all four were together and many years longer since the whole family was all gathered in one place. To say it was super special would be an understatement.
I have hundreds of photos from our time out west, and I'll be breaking down our trip a bit more over the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
