Fall Day Second Edition
Last year, we began this fun tradition with some of our very best friends. We call it Fall Day, and it's pretty much what the name insinuates. So last weekend, we all gathered to celebrate what autumn in New England is all about.
We started out apple picking at our favorite local orchard, then came back to our house for a day of all things fall. We watched football while baking pies, sipped mulled cider and pumpkin beers, ate pulled pork mac and cheese and apple cider donut bread pudding, played card games outside on the deck. Then once the chill of autumn evenings began to set in, we made a pot of coffee, wrapped ourselves in blankets, sat around the living room and played more cards. It's a tradition I really hope never goes away because it's just so good. These friends of mine are so good.
