Touring Connecticut // Two

DSC_0054 Having both worked previously for the Connecticut Department of Tourism, we are well aware that Mystic is the most popular tourist destination in the state, and it very well deserves that title. We spent much of our Saturday morning wandering the picturesque downtown, grabbing coffees, stopping in shops and walking the docks along the Mystic River, watching the bridge go up to let sailboats pass through. The weather was perfect - a little bit warmer than a typical fall day in Connecticut and full of sunshine, which made the drive north through the "quiet corner" of the state truly a treat. It was one of those drives with the windows down, blue sky above you, sunglasses on, music loud and no worries. I cherish those.

Adding to the collection are some photos from the day, beginning with our morning in Mystic, to some great vineyards from the northeastern part of the state and beyond. Enjoy!DSC_0055 DSC_0057 DSC_0058 DSC_0060 DSC_0061 DSC_0062 DSC_0066 DSC_0070 DSC_0071 DSC_0072 DSC_0073 DSC_0074 DSC_0075 DSC_0080 DSC_0089 DSC_0090 DSC_0093 DSC_0095
