Hello Monday and hello 2015! This is my first blog post of the new year, and it feels really good to be sitting down and taking some time to write and create. I'm so happy that Brooke and I chose the theme of new beginnings for this month's Moodboard Monday because it has forced me to stop and really think about what I want this year to look like, for me, for our family, for my business.
While I'm a believer in settings goals and living intentionally all year long, it's hard to ignore the feeling of newness that a fresh year brings. 2014 was pretty monumental for me. We added Zooey to our family, bought our first house, and I launched a business I'd been dreaming of starting for awhile now. We lived in three different places, traveled a lot, and took on project after project. It was busy and beautiful, chaotic and messy, and I wouldn't have changed it for anything. This year though, I'm looking forward to resting and being, making our house even more our home, growing my business, staying in one place for a little while and truly basking in the beauty that comes with the every day.
In 2015, I hope to go on more hikes. I hope to continue to laugh every day. I hope to live the little things. I hope to watch a sunrise from a new place. I hope to eat and drink with our family and friends often. I hope to grow. I hope to explore. I hope to love.
A blank canvas, a fresh bouquet of flowers, a new page, or a map brimming with possibilities. Here's to new beginnings and all the dreams they can bring.
