Molasses Cookies + A Party
The past two weekends have been consumed with parties and they've been the best ones I've attended in years. I find as I get older, the parties get classier and more creative. I embrace these nights with the best of friends and family.
Two weekends ago, the occasion was a dear friend's housewarming, but being in December, the holiday vibe was also fully present. It was such a fun evening! I spent the afternoon prior baking these molasses cookies to bring as a dessert and I thought they were too good not to share. Plus, they're the perfect holiday cookie. I used this recipe from the lovely food blog Granolalola. They do have a pretty heavy molasses flavor, but that's pretty easy to fix if you're not so into that. Simply reduce the amount of molasses you use.
This is a rare recipe post, friends, so savor it! I'm not the biggest cook or baker, but when a recipe turns out this good, why should I keep it to myself?!
And a few party photos, taken with my iPhone...
More photos from this past weekends event to come later in the week, so stay tuned!
