Our Days in Raleigh

I finally got around to editing the photos from our Raleigh trip a few weeks ago. Looking back at these was fun - we had such a blast (and I thank you all for your sweet recommendations)! After a dreary and chilly New England winter and spring, the 90 degree, sunshine-filled days were exactly what we were craving. While we checked many things off our 'to see' list, we did so in a slow, relaxed manner, mostly wandering where our eyes, hearts and stomachs led us. We grabbed refreshing drinks and sweet treats at Videri Chocolate and The Cupcake Shoppe, enjoyed many great meals at various restaurants along Glenwood Avenue, walked through the Historic Oakwood neighborhood, picked up some Krispy Kreme donuts, spent a morning at a dog park, walked street after street of beautiful old brick buildings, enjoyed local wines and afternoon brews and soaked in some rays. Simply put, it was a perfect, although too short, first vacation as a teeny tiny family.
